I’m sure that many hard working real estate agents in Brooklyn working with busy real estate companies need to relax and clear their mind from time to time.

If you are looking for a truly lovely experience, consider The Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Urban Farm, Brooklyn Grange located on the roof of building 3. Installed in 2012, the farm is a massive 65K sq ft roof towering twelve stories over the East River. The views from the rooftop are amazing providing a great opportunity to take beautiful pictures and videos. The big portion of the financing for the installation of the Navy Yard farm was granted by the Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP’s) Green Infrastructure Stormwater Management Initiative. Make a plan to go and you won’t be disappointed since the farm is in all it’s glory this time of year.

What you’ll find at the Brooklyn Grange are sunflowers galore, zinneas, clover, cucumbers as well as salad greens, zucchini and much more!

The first original Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farm is located atop the 6-story industrial Standard Motor Products building in Long Island City. It is a privately owned and operated enterprise however they are open to the public. Brooklyn Grange gives public tours, but visitors must register beforehand to get in.
