Thor Equities is a development firm which many real estate agents and real estate companies in Manhattan and Brooklyn are familiar with.

Thor Equities owner Joseph Sitt is creating an outdoor museum on Stillwell Avenue and The Bowery, one of Coney Islands main walkways.

Jeffrey Deitch, co-curator with Tony Goldman, of the now world famous, Wynwood Walls (a museum in the streets) in Miami Florida, will collaborate with Thor Equities on a project called Coney Art Walls at 1320 Bowery on the westside of Stillwell Avenue.

The famous murals on display were painted by 30 artists. Brooklynites all seem to agree that the huge, bold murals in outdoor public spaces are fabulous.

Ron English, who is known as the godfather of street art said that “ this is a fun project’ and continued to say “it’s a big deal to be a part of a Deitch project”. English added that “Deitch kind of kicked off a global art revolution”.

Street art festivals can be found all over the world now.

In addition to the street art, there will be food vendors and music in the evening!
