Kensington, Brooklyn NY  is located in Central Brooklyn with neighborhood boundaries of Coney Island Avenue to the East, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue to the North, McDonald Avenue & 36th Street to the West and Foster Avenue to the South.

Kensington is surrounded by Flatbush (Ditmas Park & Prospect Park South) to the East, Windsor Terrace to the North, Borough Park to the West and Midwood to the South.

Kensington subway service into Manhattan runs on the F train at McDonald Avenue & Church Avenue and McDonald Avenue and Ditmas Avenue.

The B & Q, local and express trains have stations at Church Avenue and East 16th Street, Cortelyou Road and East 16th Street, Newkirk Plaza on Newkirk Avenue and East 16th Street and at and Beverly Road and East 16th Street.

For live music and entertainment the place to go locally is the astoundingly gorgeous Kings Theatre located at 1027 Flatbush Avenue. This historic theatre had undergone a long and very expensive museum quality restoration.

Kensington is just minutes away from Prospect Park and all of its outdoor splendor. Even in the winter time Prospect Park is incredibly beautiful.
